ان کے سادہ سے جملے میں جانے کون سے نادیدہ انگارے تھے جنہوں نے گل نور کا وجود راکھ بنا ڈالا۔ جی چاہا زندہ زمین میں دفن ہو جائے۔ وہ گڑ کرا گئی تھی۔
"میں خود سے نہیں آئی 'مامی' نے زور دیا تھا وہ لینے آگئی تھیں مجبورا آنا پڑا۔" اس نے احساس توہین سے سرخ ہوتے ہوئے بمشکل تمام اندر بھڑکتے الاؤ کو ٹھنڈا کیا تھا، لہجے کی برف اور رویے کا چبھتا ہوا انداز امتیاز کو چونکانے پر مجبور کر گیا۔
انہوں نے کتاب سے نگاہ اٹھا کر ایک گہری نگاہ اس پر ڈالی اور پھر کچھ بے چین سے ہو گئے، ہلکے پھلکے کپڑے بھیگ کر جسم کا حصہ بن چکے تھے۔ وہ خود سے بے نیاز ماتھے پر ہلکی ہلکی تیوریاں لیے مسہری سے کچھ فاصلے پر کھڑی تھی۔ بیڈ کے سرہانے اور مقابل میں لگی ٹیوب لائٹوں کی روشنی براہ راست اس کے وجود پر پڑ رہی تھی۔ اس کا اک اک نقش اور خدوخال اجاگر کر رہی تھی۔
وہ کوشش کے باوجود نگاہ نہ بچا پائے تھے ششدر سے اسے دیکھتے رہ گئے ان کی آنکھوں میں اترتی مردانگی کی چمک گل نور کو یک بیک خطرے کا احساس دلا گئی تھی۔ اس کے ہاتھ پاؤں کانپنے لگے۔ حواس ساتھ چھوڑتے محسوس ہونے لگے تھے۔ یوں لگا جیسے جسم پر چیونٹیاں سی رینگنے لگی ہوں۔
بوکھلا کر خود پر نگاہ ڈالی اور پھر جیسے پانی پانی ہوگئی۔ ان استحقانہ نظروں کی سرکشی اور گستاخی کا مفہوم سمجھ میں آگیا تھا۔
"اف خدایا۔" شرم سے مرنے والی کیفیت ہو گئی تھی۔ بجلی کی سی تیزی سے الماری سے دوسرے کپڑے نکال کر وہ باتھ روم میں بند ہو گئی تھی۔
کتنی ہی دیر بعد برآمد ہوئی تو وہ ہنوز کتاب میں مگن پائے گئے تھے۔
وہ جھجھکتی ہوئی مسہری کی جانب بڑھی اسی لمحے اچانک بجلی چلی گئی۔
اس کا دل خوف سے دھڑکنے لگا، انجان سے اندیشے اسے ستانے لگے تھے۔ اندازے سے ٹٹولتی ہوئی اپنی جگہ پہنچی، اپنی رضائی درست کر کے جونہی لیٹی۔ سرسبز حرارت مضبوط بازو سے جالگا۔ وہ اندھیرے میں اپنی جگہ کا تعین نہیں کر پائی تھی۔ اس کی ریڑھ کی ہڈی میں سنسنی سی پھیل گئی۔ تیزی سے اٹھنا چاہا مگر اسی لمحے دوسرا توانا گرم بازو اس کے وجود پر دراز ہو گیا۔ گویا اس کی حرکت سے روکنا چاہا ہو۔
"اٹ از اوکے۔ ٹھیک اٹ ایزی۔" ان کے گمبھیر لہجے میں بلا کی نرمی اور خمار تھا۔ اس کا دماغ بھک سے اڑ گیا۔ جسم و جان میں عجیب پھرپھری سی لارڈنے لگی تھی۔ اسے لگا زیادہ دیر تک یہی صورتحال رہی تو اس کی سانسیں جسم کا ساتھ چھوڑ جائیں گی اور دھڑکنیں رک جائیں گی۔
"پلیز ہاتھ ہٹالیں۔" بھرائے ہوئے لہجے میں کہتے ہوئے اس نے مزاحمت کرتے ہوئے ان کی گرفت سے آزاد ہونا چاہا تو انہوں نے چنداں اعتراض نہیں کیا۔ فوراً بازو سمیٹ کر دوسری طرف ہو گئے تھے۔
وہ اپنی رضائی میں دبک کر بے آواز سسکنے لگی۔ ایسا لگ رہا تھا دل جیسے پھٹ جائے گا۔ اس کی بلکتی انا سے خوشی کا کوئی لمحہ انجوائے نہیں کرنے دیتی تھی۔
اور پھر یہ اعتماد ہو بھی تو اس کا کوئی وجود تو ہو کہ بڑھتے ہوئے ان ہاتھوں میں محبت چاہت اور دلی خواہش ہمک رہی ہے۔
وہ اسے اس کی رضا سے مانگیں یا پھر اپنی محبت کا استامان دیں کہ وہ ان کی گستاخیوں کو پیار کی ادا سمجھ کر سپردگی دے ڈالے یہاں تو کچھ بھی نہیں تھا محض لمحاتی طلسم تھا اور بس۔
وہ ساری رات نہیں سو پائی تھی۔
اس بات سے بے خبر کہ اس سے کچھ فاصلے پر اپنے لحاف میں لیٹے ہوئے وجود نے بھی اس کی طرح یہ رات آنکھوں میں بسر کی تھی۔
وہ اس کے انداز دیکھ کر دنگ رہ گئے تھے۔ اس کی بے گانگی، بے نیازی، گریز اور واضح رد بھی کچھ ان کی نظروں کے سامنے تھا اور وہ سب کچھ سمجھ گئے تھے۔

In his simple sentence, there were invisible embers that turned Gul Noor's existence to ashes. She wanted to be buried alive in the ground. She was buried.
"I didn't come of my own accord, 'Mami' insisted, she came to get me, I was forced to come." She blushed with insult and barely cooled down the fire burning inside her, the ice of her tone and the stinging style of her behavior forced Imtiaz to be shocked.
He looked up from the book and took a deep look at her and then became a little restless, her light clothes had become wet and became a part of her body. She stood at some distance from Masehri, with light wrinkles on her forehead, helpless of herself.
